Thirteen years ago today our second son Jack made his exciting entrance into the world by arriving three months prematurely, weighing only 2 pounds. His debut involved a plane, helicopter, Cuban and Canadian ambulances, and medical professionals to whom we are eternally grateful. Fast forward with the love and support of family andfriendsand that once tiny bundle is happy, healthy and still keeping us on our toes. He continues to teach me about life, parenting, community, and all about being a mom.
With Mother's Day just two weeks away, I can't help but think how grateful I am for each of my three sons, as well as my own mothers and the countless others who have "mothered" me along the way. While most will not be able to celebrate in person this year- our bonds, connections, and love will perhaps grow even stronger.
Our work at Bloomfields brings us immense joy- knowing that our flowers can bridge separation for such a special occasion. This is one of our busiest holidays but in all sincerity, the most fulfilling. Whatever way you choose to connect- through flowers, phone and zoom calls, or a porch-side visit- we send our warmest wishes to all the Moms out there.
Thank you for your continued support. Please keep well and Happy Birthday, dear Jack.
